FIREFIGHTERS are dealing with a huge blaze at a chemical plant in Middlewich.
Crews were dispatched to the scene at BIP Organics in Brooks Lane earlier this evening and are currently working to extinguish the fire.
Bystanders are being urged to avoid the area.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Firefighters are at the scene of a major fire at an industrial premises in Brooks Lane, Middlewich.
"The fire involves several palletised containers. No casualties have been reported however there is a large smoke plume rising from the site.

"Nearby residents are advised to close their windows and doors as a precaution and any bystanders are asked to vacate the area to enable emergency services unhindered access.
"Several roads have been closed around Middlewich town centre so it is advisable to avoid the area for the time being."
A Cheshire Police spokesman confirmed road closures have been put in placein Brooks Lane as a result of the ongoing fire.
On a busy day for the fire service, this is the latest in a number of incidents crews have had to deal with today a temperatures soared.
Earlier today crews were called to Byley to tackle a blaze at a farm outbuilding and as of 8pm were still there damping down and checking for hotspots.
Firefighters have also been dealing with a large blaze on farmland at Rixton in Warrington and have had to call the wildfire unit in for assistance.
