FIRE crews have been tackling a large blaze involving tyres and timber at a farm outbuilding in Byley, Middlewich, this afternoon, Monday.
Shortly after 2.35pm, firefighters were called to King Street after reports of a fire at a farm on a route from Middlewich to Northwich.
Four fire engines are in attendance, one from Northwich, one from Crewe and two from Winsford.
Individuals reported seeing clouds of black smoke coming from the affected site.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed: “Firefighters are in attendance at a fire in a farm outbuilding on King Street, Byley.
“The building is well alight and the fire, which involves tyres and timber, measures approximately 20m by 15m.
“The firefighters are using a hose reel jet and main jet to tackle the fire.”
As of 4.10pm, a statement added: "One hose reel jet and three main jets have been used to surround the fire and save the nearby outbuilding."
Firefighters then continued to dampen down the tyres and timber using two main jets and one hose reel.
