A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a crash with a van in Northwich.
Emergency services were called to King Street, Rudheath, at around 4.45pm this afternoon following the collision.
On arrival, officers found the collision involved a white Ford Transit van and a blue Triumph Sprint motorcyclist.
Paramedics also attended and treated the biker for minor injuries before taking them to hospital.
Police have closed the road and are continuing to urge drivers to avoid the area for the time being.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: "At around 4.45pm today, Thursday July 7, officers were called to reports of a collision in King Street, Rudheath.
"Officers attended the scene and found the collision was between a blue Triumph Sprint motorcycle and a white Ford Transit van.
"The driver of motorcycle sustained minor injuries and was subsequently taken to hospital in an ambulance.
"Road closures are in place and drivers are asked to avoid the area."
