SIX Cheshire drivers were banned from the roads last week after appearing in court.
The offences vary from driving while over the limit for either drink or drugs or in one case, a man who fled the scene of a crash.
On Monday, June 13, at Chester Magistrates Court, Kaylee Inglis of Hollybank Close in Northwich was given a 12-month disqualification.
The 32-year-old was driving a Mercedes CLA on Queen Street on April 2 this year when she was stopped by police.
After providing officers with a positive roadside swab for cocaine, a blood test later confirmed it to contained 614 micrograms per litre of blood of Benzoylecgonine (a breakdown product of the class A drug) - the legal limit is 50.
As well as being disqualified from driving, she was also fined £150 and must pay £85 in costs and a £34 surcharge to help fund victim services.
On the same day at Crewe Magistrates, David Messenger, of The Crescent in Middlewich was banned for 20 months.
The 37-year-old was stopped by police on Leadsmithy Street on May 5 more than twice over the drink drive limit.
He provided officers with a reading of 75 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, with the limit being 35mg/100ml.
Messenger was also fined £830, will pay £85 costs and an £83 surcharge.
Kelly Clark of Hollybank Road in Wilmslow meanwhile was also given a 20-month ban for being more than twice over the limit.
She was stopped while driving Mazda 2 in Lacey Green and a blood sample gave a reading of 164 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of blood, with the limit being 80mg/100ml.
The 44-year-old will also pay a £346 fine, £85 in costs and a £34 surcharge.
The next day (June 14) William Pirie of Heron Close in Knutsford was disqualified from driving by Crewe Magistrates.
The 31-year-old was handed an 18-month ban after being stopped by police when driving a Renault Scenic on King Street in the town centre.
He blew a reading of 67 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, which was almost twice the legal limit. He was also fined £196 and must pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.
In the same court, Richard Wright was banned for 12 months after he fled the scene of a crash in a business park.

And at Chester Magistrates Court on June 14, Daniel Carter of Foden Walk in Wilmslow was handed a 36-month ban.
The 25-year-old had already been banned for drink driving by Manchester Magistrates in relation to the same incident.
He had been stopped by police while driving a Ford Transit van on Malpas Close on February 11.
The matters brought to magistrates in Chester related to him being over the limit for cocaine, benzoylecgonine and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol.
His reading for benzoylecgonine was more than four-times over the limit at not less than 318 micrograms per litre of blood, with the limit being 50.
