A MALE-ONLY ‘adult’ sauna in Northwich has been sold after being put on the market for £1.3 million earlier this year.
Northwich Sauna, located in Winnington Lane, caters for ‘gay, curious and bi-sexual men’ and is described on its website as ‘the UK’s leading adult sauna business’ which gives men ‘a place to relax, unwind and be themselves’.
The sauna was listed for sale on Rightmove in March, but the listing has now been updated to say the business is sold subject to contract.
The building’s current facilities include a dungeon, private cabins along corridors based on Amsterdam streets, a rain shower, steam complex, sauna, sunroom and jacuzzi, as well as a coffee lounge.
According to Rightmove, there were many options to change the building’s use, with 90 parking spaces, a commercial kitchen and bar area, as well as the steam and sauna facilities.
Alternatively, the Rightmove description said buyers could carry on with the business ‘which has a large clientele and high new turnover’.
It is not yet known if the new owners are changing its use or carrying on with the existing business.
Northwich Sauna has been approached for comment on the sale.
