WINNINGTON Avenue 94 have replicated their reserve team in gaining promotion.
The club's second string sealed their promotion out of Cheshire Football League Reserve Two in April when they were confirmed as champions, while the first team nailed their achievement in the final League One game of the season on Saturday.
They progress to the Premier Division as runners-up after blitzing Blacon Youth 8-1 away, going there knowing they needed a victory to leap above Vulcan to secure the promotion spot.
After Callum Payne put Winnington ahead in the fourth minute with the first of his two first-half goals, Steven Warburton netted twice in the 25th minute to put the visitors in control.
Bailey Sherlock also hit the mark in the opening period, and then three substitutes David Barnett, Daniel Stockton and Matthew Waller wrapped up the scoring after the break.
It was the most goals scored by Winnington in a league game this season, and equally the widest margin of victory having twice previously notched 7-0 wins.
They also banged in 11 goals at Winsford Saxons in a cup tie.
Whalley Range finished above them on the ladder by a solitary point, though both had bagged 20 wins from 28 matches played but Whalley's one extra draw saw them conclude the campaign as champions.
Winnington will join fellow Northwich side Lostock Gralam in the top flight for the 2022/23 season.
