A NORTHWICH man has denied attacking a nurse at a hospital in Manchester.
Adrian Hamilton, of Meadow Grove, faces a trial after entering a not guilty plea to the offence, which took place back on November 1, 2020.
The 37-year-old is accused of assaulting the senior nursing assistant, who was carrying out her duties at the time at a facility in Trafford.
Hamilton, who was 35 when the assault was alleged to have taken place, previously failed to show up at court on three separate occasions when required to do so.
When he eventually did appear at court on November 15 last year, he entered his not guilty plea. However, he did admit to not turning up at Manchester Magistrates Court on July 8, July 23 and August 27, 2021, and will be sentenced for those offences after the conclusion of his trial.
The matter has been adjourned by the courts on two occasions since, most recently on May 6, but a new trial date has been set for August 15 at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court.
Hamilton remains on bail until that date.
