HARTFORD FC are hosting a golf evening to raise money for the football club.
This will be the first club event in the community since the coronavirus pandemic started and they have announced an open invitation to take part in what they hope will become a regular feature on the yearly calendar.
The event at Hartford Golf Club on Friday, June 10, includes nine holes of golf, food and prizes.
"We are celebrating our first golf evening at Hartford Golf Club, raising money for the football club with a competition and prizes up for grabs," said Dan Wallwork, Hartford Football Club's youth development officer.
"We are also raffling off some wonderful prizes such as a river boat experience, a family pass at a local monkey forest and much more!
"We hope to make this an annual event and see it as an opportunity to celebrate with the wider community – and we would like to invite everyone to be a part of it!"
Entry is £100 for a team of four, or £25 per person, with tee-off times scheduled between 4pm and 7.30pm.
Wallwork explained how the funds raised will be used to the benefit of inclusive football.
"We are a community football club looking to provide a safe, enjoyable, learning environment for players to develop and play the beautiful game," he said.
"We have a fantastic junior section, an ever growing girls section, an early years academy for youngsters taking their first steps in sport, two veterans teams and a player pathway to open age football with a new under 21s team, a reserve team and a first team competing in the Cheshire Football League.
"One of our main objectives is to be inclusive to all of our players, providing wonderful opportunities to develop them as individuals, and any money raised will be used to ensure we give all our members the best possible experiences within sport."
