NORTHWICH Rowing Club members took the A49 to Shrewsbury at the weekend and came back home from Pengwern Boat Club with some notable wins to be proud of.
The junior women's eight, who raced over a 1000m course on the River Seven, won their first heat and then faced Shrewsbury School on their home water.
After a hard race Northwich made their mark on the Shrewsbury Regatta as they won by two metres.
More success followed as a junior 14 double comprising Kai Jump and Jacob Wrigley won a 500m race by four lengths.
A junior 15 boys double from Northwich also enjoyed success.
After two hard heats over the 1000m distance, Max Finney and Freddie Medland were triumphant and took the winners' medals.
