A CARER from Northwich has denied allegations she defrauded a man over a two year period.
Julie Jackson, of Lune Crescent, Rudheath, has been charged with one count of fraud against a man she was paid to care for.
The 57-year-old entered a not guilty plea when she appeared at Chester Crown Court on Friday, May 6.
It is alleged Jackson abused her position as his paid carer by persuading him to take out loans and withdraw cash from his bank account.
Jackson also stands accused of getting the complainant to pay for food, petrol and other living expenses for her own benefit.
However, she has denied the charge and a trial date has been set for the week commencing January 23, 2023. It is expected to last around four days.
