ONE hundred cyclists are gearing up to complete a 100-mile challenge around Cheshire for a Northwich charity.
On July 2, the cohort will set off from Goostrey for this year's Cheshire Dash, which is in aid of The Joshua Tree.
The charity supports families across the North West and north Wales living with the life-changing experience of childhood cancers.
Catriona Marshall, founder of Transforming Lives charity, which organises the annual event, said: "We all know how tough the last couple of years has been for charities and we’re keen to help, whilst giving the heroes who get on their bikes to raise money, a fantastic experience.
"If you’re a cyclist who’d like to make a difference, please come and ride with us."
Setting off after hot breakfast baps and a warm up, the riders will travel through the county's beautiful countryside, heading out to the peak of the Cat and Fiddle and returning via The Joshua Tree’s new centre in Sandiway, and back to Goostrey for a BBQ.
The event welcomes cyclists for whom 100 miles will be a major achievement, and those with the experience to sail through the 100 miles, enjoying the views and the first-class hospitality.
Catriona added: "This is very much a community event, supported by local businesses, who are keen to help raise funds for The Joshua Tree.
"All of donations raised by the riders will go to the charity. We’ve raised more than £270,000 for charity since we started The Cheshire Dash in 2018."
The event will be supported by Rolls-Royce Manchester, which is providing four Roll-Royce Cullinans to lead each rider group.
