A ‘TECHINCAL issue’ is meaning some Northwich residents are unable to contact 999 from their landline.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has now advised anyone in Northwich who needs the emergency services to call from a mobile phone while engineers work to fix the issue.
A statement from the fire service reads: “We're aware of a technical issue involving a number of landlines in the Northwich area that are unable to access 999.
“Engineers are working to fix the issue.
“If you need to contact the emergency services please call 999 from a mobile phone.
“We'll update when the issue has been resolved.”
