A DREAM is coming true for a couple left heartbroken after losing their first baby.
Mark Cosgrove, 41, and wife Stacie, 34, were devastated when their first child, Matilda was stillborn in June, 2019.
The couple, from Winnington, set up a foundation in her memory and have raised more than £9,000 to treat sick children in hospital with gifts at Christmas and Easter.
After personally delivering this year’s gifts, the couple have announced that they are expecting the patter of tiny feet.
“We are excited,” said Mark. “My wife is due to give birth early to mid-May. It will be another girl.

“Due to what happened to Matilda, she has been checked every two weeks. She had a scan and everything is absolutely perfect.
“We have always wanted a family. It will be very emotional for us, we want the day to come now.”
The couple want to keep Matilda’s memory alive forever.
“We want to turn the Matilda Foundation into a charity,” said Mark.
“Fundraising over the last two years has given us a focus. We have really enjoyed doing all this work.
“It has been very positive. We want to continue helping children in hospital.
“Through the hardest pain of losing our sleeping angel, we hope she brings happiness to sick children for as long as possible.”
All 270 children at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital received an Easter egg and youngsters at Clare House Hospice were delighted when an Easter bunny turned up with surprises.
Children in Winnington were invited to hunt for 100 Easter eggs in Bridgewater Park An Easter hamper was donated to courageous young girl Izabelle Green, recovering from an accident, who was nominated by her aunt Mel Green for the gift.
Stacie and Mark are sponsoring a charity football match in the summer at the Olympic Stadium, home to West Ham United.
“Two celebrity teams will be playing,” said Mark. “It will be a pay to view event and we hope to raise in excess of £70,000.
“We want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us right from the start. We can’t believe we have been able to do so much.”
