POLICE are warning the public not to approach a prison absconder with links to Northwich as he 'could be violent'.
Lancashire Police have issued an appeal to find Jack Joynson, who absconded from HMP Kirkham yesterday (April 18).
The 21-year-old had been serving a four-year sentence for attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
He is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, of slight build with brown hair, blue eyes and is clean shaven. He has a tattoo of ‘Dad’ on his right arm.
Joynson has links to the Northwich area of Cheshire.
Insp Helen Bevan, of Lancashire Police, said: “Joynson is wanted by police after absconding from prison.
“He could be violent and we would urge the public not to approach him.
“If you have seen him, or a man matching his description, call police immediately.”
