POLICE have issued an update after armed officers were called to a street in Northwich.
Cheshire Police were called at 3.50pm on Thursday, April 14, following reports of a domestic disturbance at an address off London Road.
Patrols arrived at the scene and carried out a search of the area, with officers also reported to be seen in Middlewich Road and James Street.
A 24-year-old man was taken into custody and was quizzed on the incident.
At the time, Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: "Officers were called at 3.50pm following reports of a domestic disturbance at an address off London Road, Northwich.
"Patrols, supported by firearms officers, attended the scene and made a search of the area.
"A 24-year-old man from Northwich was arrested on suspicion of affray, possession of an offensive weapon and assault.
A police spokesman has now confirmed the man has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
