TWO penalties from Callum Saunders ensured a win for Witton Albion that takes their relegation fight into Easter Monday at least.
Today's 2-1 success at home to Radcliffe, along with a 1-0 win for Basford United at Stafford, leaves Carl Macauley's side placed in the second automatic relegation spot five points adrift with two games to play.
It leaves Albion needing to win both their remaining games, starting at play-offs chasing Warrington Town on Monday, and Basford losing both of theirs in order to avoid the drop automatically.
Witton's third successive win was sealed in the 87th minute when Saunders got up from being fouled inside the box to convert the spot kick.
Even if we do relegate on Monday, going five-in-five would be our best form all season and a positive boost going into the summer.

Crowds also back up today, which is important.
We've now equalled our form from Oct - and going into the final two games.. that's got to be a plus.
When Joe Mwasille was felled inside the penalty area Saunders put Witton ahead in the 24th minute.
Radcliffe looked set for a share of the spoils when Jack Baxter netted in the 65th minute but Saunders' second penalty kept Witton hopes alive of a great escape.
They are stringing together one of their best sequences of results this season but it will be too little, too late if Basford achieve at least a draw at home to mid-table Mickleover on Monday.
