A PAEDOPHILE who shared indecent images of children online, a drunk women who trashed a pub and a dangerous driver are among the Mid Cheshire defendants to appear iin court over the past week.

A NORTHWICH man who sexually assaulted a sleeping child and shared indecent images he had taken online has been jailed for four years and four months.
Craig Crowther, 31, was identified by National Crime Agency investigators as username ‘craggy2014’ who, on numerous occasions, discussed his sexual interest in children with who he believed were other paedophiles online.
In May 2020, Crowther, of Tilstone Close, Northwich, told an undercover police officer posing as another user that he likes to ‘get involved’ with children, and had access to a child who he had sexually abused.
A 20-YEAR-OLD has been handed a six-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to dangerous driving.
Thomas Kellett, of Rosewood Drive in Winsford, drove a Vauxhall Corsa dangerously along Chester Way near Northwich town centre on February 6.
The next day, he then obstructed a police constable in the execution of his duty.
Appearing in Chester Magistrates’ Court on April 1, Kellett’s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
A NORTHWICH woman has pleaded guilty to causing £200 worth of damage at the town centre pub, along with assaulting a police officer and displaying threatening behaviour.
Appearing in Chester Magistrates’ Court on April 12, Jacqueline Denne pleaded guilty to three charges relating to incidents which occurred on March 24.
The 34-year-old was charged with causing £200 worth of damage to The Penny Black in Witton Street, assaulting a police officer, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, with intent to cause others to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against them.
A NORTHWICH man has been fined after being drunk and disorderly in the town in the early hours of the morning.
Shaun Wilson, of Meadow Grove, appeared in Chester Magistrates’ Court this afternoon, Tuesday, after committing the offence on March 25.
The court heard how police were called to Clifton Drive at 2.40am, where the 23-year-old was drunk, banging on a plastic screen in a taxi and refusing to get out of the vehicle.
The prosecution said when police arrived, Wilson was aggressive and was warned about his behaviour, but he continued and was arrested.
A 52-YEAR-OLD woman who drove to a supermarket after consuming alcohol has been banned from the roads and fined by the courts.
Karen Towers, of Gerrard Drive, Weaverham, attended Tesco in Northwich Road just before 11pm on March 24.
Chester Magistrates’ Court heard how police officers were called after Towers went into the store to buy alcohol and staff noticed she already seemed to be intoxicated.
A 35-YEAR-OLD man from Northwich has pleaded guilty to possessing thousands of indecent images of children.
Nathan Dunville, of Meadow Grove, appeared in Chester Crown Court on April 8, charged with making more than 600 indecent images/pseudo images of children and possessing more than 3,000 indecent images/pseudo images of children.
A WOMAN who assaulted two emergency service workers has avoided a prison sentence.
Chloe Callow, of Gleave Road in Weaverham, pleaded guilty at Chester Crown Court on January 19 to two counts of assaulting a police constable.
The charges relate to an incident on June 9 last year during which Callow assaulted Kiera Young and Francis Bowers, police officers who were acting in the exercise of their functions as emergency workers.
