A NORTHWICH man has been fined after being drunk and disorderly in the town in the early hours of the morning.
Shaun Wilson, of Meadow Grove, appeared in Chester Magistrates’ Court this afternoon, Tuesday, after committing the offence on March 25.
The court heard how police were called to Clifton Drive at 2.40am, where the 23-year-old was drunk, banging on a plastic screen in a taxi and refusing to get out of the vehicle.
The prosecution said when police arrived, Wilson was aggressive and was warned about his behaviour, but he continued and was arrested.
Representing himself in court, Wilson apologised for his behaviour and said, ‘it wasn’t like him’.
Magistrates fined him £80, but he must also pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge of £34.
