POLICE are stepping up patrols after a recent spate on anti-social behaviour in Northwich.
Weaver and Cuddington Police have received various reports of youths being verbally abusive, climbing onto roofs and damaging crops in the area.
A police statement regarding Sandiway Library reads: “On April 5 at approximately 7.06pm, a large group of youths causing ASB issues being verbally abusive to staff was reported.
“Passing attention has been made, which will continue as a preventive measure.
“If you can help to identify persons, ring 101 quoting IML 1238920.”
Young people were also spotted climbing onto building roofs at Norley Road Playing Fields over the weekend.
A police spokesperson added: “Please, for your own safety and the safety of others, refrain from retrieving footballs or using this as a place to hang out.
“Further patrols will be made.”
Weekend patrols have also been made has been made around Owley Wood following reports of crops being damaged in a farmer’s field.
Further identification enquiries will be made at a nearby high school.
