ROWING:
NORTHWICH Rowing Club had 20 wins when they held their yearly spring head on Sunday which featured nearly 300 boats racing down from Vale Royal locks.
The day's fastest crew were Northwich's J18 steered by Finn Gamble.
Northwich's wins were spread out throughout the age ranges.
The next races will be regattas and some crews representing the north west for a national event in Nottingham.
MOTORSPORT:
THE 2022 four-wheeled motorsport season got underway on Saturday when the BARC organised event returned to Oulton Park, writes Ste McNorton.
With weather very mixed throughout the country the Cheshire circuit, albeit cold, was bathed with sun – ideal for motor racing.
Multiple series featured in this very well followed event.
A great crowd had turned out for their motorsport fix and they were not disappointed.
The British Endurance Championship, CNC Heads, British Legends and the Praga Cup all fielded great line-ups with some exotic machinery on show and provided some great racing.
Seeing the crowds back to the same levels as pre-pandemic years is a great sight and long may it continue.
