GREEN issues will be on the agenda for councillors in Moulton this year.
Parish councillor Mark Green has asked the council to consider its carbon footprint and the effect its actions have on the planet.
Speaking at the latest meeting he said: "I would like us to think about whether the activities of the parish council could be or should be carbon neutral.
"We do plant trees but for the majority of things we do, we don't look at the carbon footprint of the parish council."
He added: "We're a small enough organisation to be able to work out what our carbon footprint is and look at ways to improve what we do."
Some residents have said the floodlights on the playing fields off Main Road should be lit for shorter periods. Clr Green suggested that the council could find out whether that could be offset in some way.
He said: "As best practice we should always be aware of what we do and what the carbon footprint we leave behind is."
