ELIGIBLE residents will be able to get their Covid-19 spring booster jab at Winsford’s Pharmacy2U site.

Located at Winsford Cross Shopping Centre, the pharmacy is offering the booster to those aged 75 and above, care home residents and anyone aged 12 and above with a weakened immune system.

This additional dose should be administered at around six months (and not before three months) since the previous vaccine dose.

To book an appointment and see clinic operating hours, people are encouraged to visit pharmacy2u.co.uk but they will receive a letter or text from the NHS if they are eligible and it is their turn to book.

If people are not up to date with their first and second Covid-19 vaccinations - as well as the initial booster jab – they will also be available at the site to everyone over the age of 12.

Mark Livingstone, CEO of Pharmacy2U, said: “We are incredibly proud at Pharmacy2U to continue to play our part in protecting the most vulnerable people, and supporting the incredible effort the NHS has put into the vaccination programme.

“Our sites allow people to have easy access to the vaccination and we feel privileged to be able to play a part in easing some of the huge pressures that the NHS is currently under.

“Our vaccination centres and fully trained healthcare professionals will be supporting pharmacists to give patients these vital vaccinations, providing an essential service to help prevent the spread of this terrible virus.

“We’re working closely with the national and regional NHS teams to maintain our vaccination sites for patients in areas that need them most.”
