TWO women have been charged with shoplifting after more than £600 worth of items were stolen from Barons Quay.
The pair, from Manchester, were arrested while trying leaving the town centre on Friday by roads and crime officers.
Officers have confirmed that both thieves were charged.
It was discovered that one of the defendants was wanted for stealing items from other shops worth thousands of pounds.
A spokesman for Northwich Police said: “One of the females was also wanted for other thefts from Northwich retail premises in January and February with a total value running into the thousands.
“Officers from Northwich Beat Management team secured charges against both with one female being remanded in police custody and the second released with conditions not to enter Cheshire.
“If you travel into Cheshire to commit crime in the hope you can evade detection you will be identified and you will be prosecuted.”
