AN OASIS tribute night has been hailed a great success.
Oasis Supernova performed to a sell-out audience at The Hive in Winsford.
Chris Carr, who led the band, said: “The gig was absolutely amazing.
“It was great to get on stage at The Hive for the first time with my band.
“The crowd was absolutely fantastic.
“Can’t wait to come back later in the year to play again.”
Cllr Nathan Pardoe, mayor of Winsford, said: "I had a brilliant time at the Oasis Supernova gig.
“Chris and the band put on a fantastic show.
“I grew up listening to Oasis but being young I missed the chance to see them live.
“This was a welcome opportunity to listen to a first rate tribute.”
Current Affairs played as support.
Cllr Pardoe added: "As a committee member of The Hive, it was great to see how far the community venue has come.
“I was back the next day for the Innovas Hope Awards as mayor, recognising community projects.
“Both types of events back to back show that The Hive is achieving what it set out to do. I'm proud of all involved."
An Elvis tribute show is being staged at 8pm on Saturday, March 19.
Paul Larcombe is the only Elvis tribute in the world to have performed live for the Queen and the royal family on three separate occasions.
Hive treasurer Damon Horrill said: “We’re delighted to have Paul Larcombe as Elvis in the building.
“Paul is without doubt the finest tribute to Elvis there is, charismatic, engaging and highly entertaining.”
