Fuel prices hit a new record high last week as the cost of oil soars due, in part, to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Prices have continued to rise during the last seven days, with the cheapest unleaded aross our patch now costing a whopping eight pence a litre more than last week.
The average pump price of petrol in the UK has now breached the 160p per litre barrier, according to the latest figures.
Although some garages across the mid-Cheshire patch have crept above that eye-watering barrier, there are still some below it.
We've taken a look at the latest prices from around the patch, with the supermarkets in and around Northwich once again offering the best deals.
Here are the top five for both unleaded and diesel drivers, including what the prices were last week (in brackets):

Tesco Northwich - 151.9p (143.9p)
Applegreen, Little Leigh - 154.8p (146.8p)
BP Northwich - 154.9p (not listed)
Asda Barons Quay, Northwich - 154.9p (143.7p)
Sainsburys Northwich - 154.9p (143.9p)
For those living in Winsford, the cheapest option is Morrisons at 156.9p per litre.
Over in Knutsford, where prices are historicially always higher, the cheapest unleaded at the time of writing is Shell on Alderley Road at 158.9p while Tabley Hill Esso and the BP on Mobberley Road are both 159.9p.

Once again, for those in Knutsford, the cheapest price for diesel is Tabley Hill Esso and Shell, which have both seen 10 pence increases in the last week to 169.9p
