A WOMAN has been hit with a £2,000 court bill after failing to book mandatory Covid tests after returning to the UK.
Agnes Victoria Barber, of Grosvenor Avenue, Hartford, arrived back at London Stansted Airport but did not book a day two or day eight Covid-19 test.
During the pandemic, coronavirus restrictions required people entering the UK to take a test before or after returning to the country.
The 71-year-old appeared at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on February 28, and was fined £1,760.
She must also pay a victim surcharge of £176 and £90 in court costs.
