A 38-YEAR-OLD man who was found to be growing cannabis at his home in Northwich has avoided an immediate prison sentence.
On June 16, 2021, Noel Gallagher, of Solvay Road in Northwich, was found to be growing 24 cannabis plants at his address.
He appeared in Chester Crown Court on March 2 was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 18 months.
The prison sentence was suspended due to ‘strong personal mitigation’ and the effect that an immediate custodial sentence would have on his family.
Gallagher must also undertake 200 hours of unpaid work.
The cannabis, growing equipment and paraphernalia is to be forfeited and destroyed by police.
