HERE are the seven road closures across Northwich, Winsford and surrounding areas in Cheshire West due to begin next month.

From April 11, surface treatment works will be carried out on various streets across the borough, including Whitley, Great Budworth, Winsford, Allostock and Delamere.

The closures are expected to last for 14 days – this may be on consecutive days or on separate days up until August.

Advanced warning signs will be placed on-site at least five days before the planned commencement of the works.

The affected roads include:

  • A49 Tarporley Road, Whitley – Between Grimsditch Lane and northwards to Bradley Brook. Diversion route: A49/M56 roundabout, A559 Northwich Road to Lostock Gralam, A559 to Leicester Street roundabout, Chester Way to A533 Castle Street, A559 Winnington Lane, A533 Runcorn Rd Barnton back to the A49 Warrington Rd.
  • A49 Whitchurch Road, Beeston – From Dean Bank to Betty’s Lane boundary with Cheshire East. Diversion Route A49 Four Ways junction, A51 Nantwich Road, Cuckoo Lane to A534 Wrexham Rd, to Ridley and back onto the A49.
  • A559 Warrington Road, Great Budworth – from Belmont Road to adjacent to Vale Road. Diversion Route A559 up to M56 roundabout, A49 Tarporley Road, A533 to Barnton, A533 Winnington to Northwich, Chester Way to Leicester Street roundabout, A559 to Lostock Gralam, A559 Hall Lane and back to Great Budworth.
  • A5018 Wharton Road, Winsford – Between Morrisons roundabout and B5355 old road roundabout. Diversion Route A5018 Bostock Road to A533 roundabout, Road One to the A54 to A54 Weaver St roundabout and back onto the A5018.
  • A50 London Road, Allostock – Brook House Farm Drive up to Townfield Lane. Diversion Route A50 Holmes Chapel Road up to Knutsford, Toft Road to A5033 Northwich Road, A556 to Davenham, A533 to Middlewich, A54 through Middlewich along Holmes Chapel Road, over the M6 roundabout, along the A54 Middlewich Rd, A54 Chester Rd Holmes Chapel back onto the A50 Knutsford Road.
  • A54 Middlewich Road, Delamere – Between Stoney Lane and Fishpool Road/Abbey Ln. Diversion Route A556 Chester Road to Sandiway, A49 Tarporley Road to Sandybrow junction and back onto the A54.
  • A51 Nantwich Road, Tiverton – Between A51/A49 Four Lane Ends and the boundary with Cheshire East. Diversion Route A49 Tarporley, A51 Duddon/Clotton to A51/A41 Vicars Cross, A41 Christleton to A534 Broxton Roundabout, A534 Salters Lane, A49 Ridley, A534 Wrexham Road, Cuckoo Lane back to the A51.
