A WORLD-ACCLAIMED DJ, hailed as a major driving force in the UK dance scene, is coming to Winsford.
Dave Pearce, the creator and original presenter of BBC Radio 1’s Dance Anthems, is hosting an 'Old Skool Club' night at The Hive on Friday, February 25.
Renowned for his energetic uplifting and anthemic big room sets incorporating Trance/Electro house and Progressive interwoven with reworked classics, he will be on stage from 9pm to 2am.
Hive trustee Damon Horrill said: "We're thrilled Dave Pearce has agreed to perform at The Hive.
"This is a bit of a coup, he is generally to be seen at huge festivals, probably the biggest DJ to ever to play Winsford."
Dave first came to national prominence in the mid 90s presenting BBC Radio 1 show Dance Anthems for 13 years, achieving its highest audiences and weekly combined audience with his Drivetime show of 17 million listeners a week.
He has also hosted numerous dance TV shows including the ITV1 network clubbing series Dance Years, MTV Dancefloor Chart, MTV Top 100 Dance Anthems and shows on Chartshow TV, The Box and Clubland TV.
He hosts an international underground Trance radio show Delirium on numerous FM stations worldwide.
Dave Pearce has sold more than one million mix compilation albums in the UK with numerous top five UK chart positions.
The popular DJ has held numerous residencies at top international venues in London, Ibiza and Mallorca.
The 58-year-old has played at all the major dance festivals including Creamfields and has been featured three times in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs in the world.
Last September Dave was part of BBC Radio1’s fifth birthday celebrations with Radio1 Vintage and he presented a Dance Music Documentary alongside Paul Oakenfold and Goldie on Sky TV.
His Delirium Summer Trance album was rated as Album of the month in Mixmag.
Since then he has had numerous top 10 Beatport releases including Trance Sanctuary which was rated one of the top five Tunes of Miami last year by Trance International.
He has DJ'd alongside some of dance music's biggest names including Faithless Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk , Steve Aoki, Nicky Romero.
Dave had numerous hit records on his Nulife label including Ian Van Dahl Castles in the Sky and Rui Da Silva Touch Me.
He was also responsible for delivering the first hits for Above and Beyond under their alias Oceanlab with their Trance Anthem Satellite.
