More than 450 new Covid cases have been reported in Cheshire West and Cheshire East in the latest 24-hour period.
According to figures released by Public Health England, 455 people tested positive across the two boroughs between 4pm yesterday and 4pm today.
This is made up of 175 in Cheshire West, which takes the borough's total since the pandemic began to 100,800.
There were 280 new cases in Cheshire East, with the borough's total now at 106,802.
The seven-day case rates for both boroughs continue to drop, with both now under 600 per 100,000 of the population.
A total of 1,902 people tested positive in the last week in Cheshire West, making the rate 553.2.
There were 2,072 new cases in Cheshire East in the same period, taking the rate to 535.9.
Nationally there were 47,685 new cases reported in the latest 24-hour period.
