A 35-YEAR-OLD man has been banned from the roads after he was caught drug driving in Northwich.
Simon Lightfoot, of Melchett Crescent in Rudheath, was driving on Central Road on September 29 while more than two times over the legal limit for Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (a cannabinoid).
He was also found in possession of cannabis.
Appearing in Chester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 15, he was handed a £120 fine.
Magistrates also disqualified him from driving for 12 months and ordered the cannabis to be forfeited and destroyed.
Lightfoot’s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing the sentence.
