WINNINGTON Park Hockey Club men's seconds maintained their 100 per cent winning streak with a 3-1 home win against Lymm.

The 14th success from 14 outings, which included a 20th goal of the season from Harrison Austin, puts Park 12 points clear at the top of their league table with six games remaining.

Adam Jones and Paul Stackhouse bagged the other goals.

The men's first team came up against an in-form Triton goalkeeper as they fell 2-0.

They created plenty of chances and dominated possession in the second half but could find no way past the last line of defence.

Stand-in Park keeper Stuart Entwistle also stood out and saved a penalty flick in a man-of-the-match performance.

Park's women worked hard but could not match league leaders Neston, losing 5-0.

Rachel Middlebrook put in a great performance after competing in the Cheshire Schools Cross Country Championships in the morning.

Kerry Brown's first goal for the women's seconds got her team over the line in the second half against bottom side Golborne.

Goals from Em Taylor, Eileen Miller and Eleanor Senior gave Park a handsome lead but they lost their rhythm and Golborne pulled two goals back before half-time.
