ARE you looking for the perfect comedy to banish those new-year blues once and for all?
Then look no further than Northwich’s award-winning Harlequin Theatre as it gets ready to bring its latest show to the stage – Perfect Wedding.
The cast has been hard at work since the start of the year, ready to entertain residents with playwright Robin Hawdon’s hilarious farce.
The play follows a groom who wakes up on his wedding morning in his own bridal suite, with his bride-to-be about to arrive any moment and a strange girl in bed beside him.
As the ensemble attempts to try and find a way out of the mess, cases of mistaken identity end with comedic results, with some romance and softer moments thrown in for good measure.
Perfect Wedding, which will be shown at the Queen Street theatre between Wednesday, February 23, and Saturday, February 26, is directed by Malcolm Barker, a regular director and actor at the Harlequin.
His productions include, It Runs In The Family, When We Are Married, Cat Among The Pigeons and The Government Inspector.
The cast includes Brandon Chadwick, Jessica Farrington, Mike Rizkallah, Katy Proudman, Jodie Bennett and Debbie Pearson.
Tickets for the Wednesday and Friday performances will be normal seating without a space between bookings.
Tickets for the Thursday and Saturday performances will leave a space between bookings, for those who would prefer to social distance.
The Covid safety measures in force will include audience members having access to the main auditorium when they arrive, and fire exits and windows being open prior to the show, during the interval and afterwards to allow air to circulate.
Masks should be worn when moving around the theatre and only taken off once seated.
Hand sanitiser will be available to use on arrival and also in the bar.
There is now a card machine at the theatre and guests are asked to pay via contactless payment if possible.
