HERE are the latest Covid-19 rates across Cheshire West and East.
According to figures released by Public Health England, 1,386 new cases were recorded in the two boroughs between January 31 and 5pm today.
This is made up of 769 cases in Cheshire West, taking the total number of cases in the borough since the pandemic began to 95,610.
In Cheshire East, there were 617 new cases, with the borough's total now standing at 101.074.
These latest figures mean 3,841 people have now tested positive for Covid in Cheshire West in the last week.
The borough's seven-day case rate is 1,117.1 per 100,000 of the population.
A total of 4,192 people tested positive in Cheshire East during the same period, taking the borough's case rate to 1,084.1.
From yesterday, Monday, the data on Covid cases slightly changed.
Previously, people who tested positive for Covid-19 were counted only once in case numbers published on the daily dashboard, when they first tested positive. Repeat positive tests were not included.
Reinfections data is now included within, and also alongside, infection totals.
Professor Steven Riley, UKHSA’s Director General of Data and Analytics, said: “Reinfection remained at very low levels until the start of the Omicron wave.
“It is right that our daily reporting processes reflect how the virus has changed.”
