THE fun shows no sign of abating as the build up to Christmas in Northwich continues with a visit from a very special guest.

Peppa Pig and her younger brother George are heading to the town on Saturday, December 4, where they will help launch a special family fun trail.

Fresh from being on the mind of the British Prime Minister as he made a speech to business leaders earlier this week, Peppa will also host several story time sessions for the town’s lucky children.

The siblings will make their first appearance outside Northwich Library at 11am, which will see the pair on hand to wave children off on a Peppa Pig themed trail.

A map will help children navigate the trail as they seek to find some of Peppa and George’s best friends and once they’ve managed to locate them all, earn a special certificate.

Peppa and George will also be taking part in one of their favourite pastimes when they host three story time sessions in the town’s Reindeer Lounge in Apple Market Place.

They will be joined by various cast members from the Memorial Court’s pantomime this year, which is Sleeping Beauty.

The sessions, at 12pm, 1.10pm and 2.20pm, are ticketed events, with half of the capacity being available to pre-book online, with the remainder being sold on a first come first served basis on the day itself.

Speaking ahead of the town’s lovable visitor Northwich BID Project Manager Adam Gerrard said: "To get Peppa and George visiting Northwich before Christmas is a real coup for the town.

"The pair are known throughout the world by so many children and their families.

"The trail will provide plenty of interactive fun as children try and find all of Peppa and George’s friends hidden around the town.

"Story time will take place in The Reindeer Lounge on Apple Market Street, which is next to Northwich Market – with support throughout the day from the Sleeping Beauty Panto cast."
