HERE are the latest coronavirus case rates and numbers across Cheshire East and West.

A total of 484 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire between 4pm on November 15 and 4pm on November 16, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

This is made up of 243 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 241 cases in Cheshire East.

This brings the total number of cases recorded since the start of the pandemic to 50,594 in Cheshire West and 54,261 in Cheshire East.

The latest update means there have now been 1,217 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 354 per 100,000 people.

There have been 1,477 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 382 per 100,000.

Nationally, the Government said a further 214 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Tuesday, bringing the UK total to 143,159.

Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics show there have now been 168,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

A total of 50,614,550 first doses of Covid-19 vaccine had been delivered in the UK by November 15, Government figures show. This is a rise of 32,046 on the previous day.

Some 46,045,964 second doses have been delivered, an increase of 18,055.

A combined total of 13,147,333 booster and third doses have also been given, a day-on-day rise of 286,582.
