MIDDLEWICH High School has been forced to close this morning, Monday, due to a lack of water supply.
The issue has been caused by a leak on Kinderton Street according to United Utilities, meaning those in the area have no water or just 'a trickle'.
Middlewich High School confirmed on social media it has emailed and sent text messages to parents and is managing to safety get students home from school.
A statement from United Utilities as of 9.37am reads: "Our leakage engineers have arrived at Kinderton Street and will start work on repairing the leak as soon as possible.
"We’re sorry for the inconvenience, we’ll provide further updates once the leak is repaired.
In the meantime, a fleet of water tankers will be in the area, 'keeping taps flowing and toilets flushing' until the repair is complete.
