POLICE are investigating a suspected arson attack after firefighters were called out to a wheelie bin fire in Winsford.
One crew from Middlewich was dispatched to the scene in Bradbury Road following reports of a blaze at 8.13pm last night (Saturday, November 13).
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed the fire was extinguished and the incident had been referred to Cheshire Police.
They said: “Firefighters were called following reports of a fire in the open in Bradbury Road.
“On arrival the crew found that the fire involved a wheelie bin.
“One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames.
“It is believed that the fire had been started deliberately.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1131762.”
