A pair of bank robbers being setenced was the big court story across our patch this week.
But there were plenty of other defendants appearing over the last seven days.

NORTHWICH
Man admits damaging television
A NORTHWICH man damaged a television and must pay compensation.
Matthew Woodward of Wallerscote Road in Weaverham, pleaded guilty at Warrington Magistrates Court on November 9.
The 19-year-old admitted damaging a television belonging to Jason Cheadle on September 28.
Magistrates told Woodward he must pay £399 compensation to Mr Cheadle.
However, they took into account his guilty plea and gave him a conditional discharge for a period of 18 months.
There was no order for prosecution costs with compensation taking priority, but he must pay a surcharge of £22
Man faces several child porn charges
A MAN from Northwich is facing several charges in relation to possessing indecent images of children.
Ashleigh Todd, of Station Road, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, November 5.
The 57-year-old is charged with six counts, three for making indecent images and three for possession.
The incidents are said to have taken place between 2009 and 2019.
Todd has not yet entered a plea and the matters were sent to Chester Crown Court, where he will next appear on December 3.
Man to wear tag after admitting Cheshire pub assault
A MAN will have to wear a tag for four months after he admitted assaulting another male in a Cheshire pub.
Ashley Ball, of Townfield Drive in Little Budworth, was appearing at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, November 5.
The 22-year-old admitting the violent attack on Macaulay Yates at the Farmers Arms in Kelsall on July 9.
Magistrates banned Ball from entering the pub for a period of 12 months and told him to pay his victim £100 in compensation.
He will also be electronically monitored by wearing a tag until March 4 next year.
As part of that monitoring, Ball will have to remain at his home address between the hours of 7pm and 5am every day.
Magistrates took into account the defendant’s guilty plea and also told him to pay £85 costs and a surcharge to fund victim services of £95.
Driving ban for woman found more than twice over limit
A NORTHWICH woman has been banned from driving after being more than two and a half times over the limit.
Sharon Johnson, of Navigation Road, was stopped by police while driving a Vauxhall Corsa on August 15 this year.
The 60-year-old was appearing at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, November 5, where she admitted to the charge.
Johnson was driving on Chester Road when she was stopped and breathalysed, giving a reading of 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 35mg/100ml.
Magistrates disqualified her from driving from 23 months and fined her £250.
She must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a surcharge of £34.
Man charged with growing cannabis
A MAN from Northwich has been charged on suspicion of growing cannabis.
Nguyen Duong, of no fixed abode, was appearing at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, November 10.
The 26-year-old is charged with producing the class B drug at an address in the town on November 9.
Duong did not enter a plea and the matter was sent up to Chester Crown Court, where he will next appear on December 8.
WINSFORD
Man admits one assault and denies another
A MAN from Winsford has denied a second assault charge against the same woman.
Lee Williams, of Gladstone Street, was appearing at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, November 4.
The 39-year-old had already admitted assaulting the woman on July 10 but denied a similar charge alleged to have taken place on November 2.
He admitted to the earlier assault charge at a hearing on October 15.
Williams has been remanded on conditional bail until a trial at the same court on December 23.
KNUTSFORD
A pair of bank robbers have received extended prison sentences for robbing the town's NatWest bank.
The career criminals stormed into the bank with a gun and a petrol can and got more than £14,000.
