Construction works are to be carried out
A FOOTPATH in Northwich will remain closed until next summer for reconstruction works.
The closure relates to the public footpath commencing at the kissing gate leading off Winnington Lane, and running in westerly direction for approximately 588 metres.
This closure originally came into force on December 10, 2018 and would have ended on November 13, 2021.
But this has now been extended until May 13, 2022.
The closure is 'necessary to enable works delayed by flooding and to carry out construction correction works to be followed by the reconstruction of the river embankment and footpath'.
