TWO people from Northwich have admitted stealing plumbing items from a store in Crewe.
Toni-Ann Philpin and Stephen Tims took the items, worth £396.75 from the Weston Road branch of B&Q on September 9.
The pair were appearing at Tameside Magistrates Court on Monday, October 11, where they both pleaded guilty to the offence.
Thirty-one-year-old Tims also admitted stealing various products from Waitrose in Northwich worth a total of £158.94 and for failing to answer bail on August 8 of this year.
He was fined a total of £120 and told he must complete a nine-month long community order which includes complete a non-residential drug rehabilitation programme. He must also pay costs of £85 and a surcharge of the same amount.
Philpin, 30, was also made the subject of a similar community order for the same period, which will involve treating for her drug dependency.
Both the defendants guilty pleas were taken into account when Magistrates imposed their sentence, with the rehabilitation to be completed by July of next year.
