THESE are the latest Covid-19 case numbers across Mid Cheshire as Cheshire East sees its highest number of cases since the pandemic began.
The figures show 261 new cases were recorded in Cheshire West and Chester in the 24 hours up to 4pm today, with 334 cases recorded in Cheshire East.
This is compared to 197 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 327 cases in Cheshire East in a 24-hour period as of Friday.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands 43,133 in Cheshire West and 45,252 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now been 1,578 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 459 per 100,000 people.
There have been 2,174 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 562.2 per 100,000.
Covid-19 cases are at their highest level in Cheshire East since the global pandemic was declared and the council is urging people to keep following ‘hands, space, face and fresh air’.
