Five people have been arrested and several quantities of drugs and weapons have been seized in a night of police action near Northwich.
Officers, including special constables, raided five addresses in the Barnton area last night, taking five people into custody on suspicion of drug offences.
The raids took place after concerns were raised in the community.
The addresses raided are believed to have been involved in drug activity for some time.
Sergeant Andrew Cooper, of the Northwich Local Policing Team, said: "Officers across the force and Special Constabulary, executed five warrants in the Barnton area this evening.
"At present five people are currently in police custody on suspicion of drug offences.
"Numerous drugs and weapons have been seized and taken off the street.
Intelligence from the community is key to the work we do.
"Via Crimestoppers and Residents Voice, we are kept informed of issues related to drugs.
"Today's warrants show we listen to the community's concerns and we look to tackle it head on."
