AS part of a new sponsorship deal, Witton Albion have confirmed a change of name for their home ground.

From now on, Wincham Park – also home to Northwich Victoria – will be known as the U Lock It Stadium for the next five years.

It is part of a lucrative sponsorship deal with Northwich-based self storage firm ULockIt, which has a facility a stone's throw away from the ground in Wincham as well as in both Middlewich and Lostock Gralam.

The agreement - subject to league approval - also includes an upgrade to the front exterior of the stadium, which is already underway.

“Partnerships with local businesses like U Lock It bring in much needed commercial revenue," Witton chairman John Salmon said.

"I am delighted to be working with this excellent company. Many thanks to Mike Roberts and Julian Jackson for making it happen."
