A total of 532 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire in the 24 hours up to 4pm today, Wednesday, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
This is made up of 184 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 348 cases in Cheshire East.
This is compared to 172 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 215 cases in Cheshire East in the previous 24-hour period.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands 39,939 in Cheshire West and 40,733 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now been 1,413 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 411 per 100,000 people.
There have been 1,824 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 471.7 per 100,000.
Nationally there were 36,722 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
