PEOPLE seeking employment or volunteering opportunities descended on the annual Northwich Jobs Fair last Friday (September 24).
Organised by Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Work Zone, the event was supported by Northwich Town Council, BID and Job Centre Plus.
Once again, it was the town's new outdoor space, Apple Market Place that played host, after being the scene for many of events already since its opening in April.

The constabulary was also among organisations looking for volunteers as well as Changing Lives Together, Rudheath and Witton Together and Transition Northwich.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were Northwich Mayor Cllr Sam Naylor and Weaver Vale MP Mike Amesbury.

Mr Amesbury, a former careers advisor, said afterwards: "It’s great to see so many employers and support organisations in Northwich promoting live opportunities, careers advice, help with interview tips, mentoring and volunteering in these challenging economic times.
"It’s heartening to see so many coming together to give people a hand up."
The iMap Centre, a centre for excellence, providing an outstanding range of autism-specific services for both children and adults were one of the organisations were also at the fair.
Sue Sullivan, part of the recruitment team on the day, said she enjoyed the day and talking to the town's mayor about the work they do: "Sam was really interested in the work we do at iMap with our supported individuals and spent time talking with us about how rewarding it is to see our residents experiencing new activities and enjoying our Growing Garden."
If you missed it, another jobs fair is taking place in Winsford Cross Shopping Centre on Thursday, September 30, between 10am and 2pm.
