HERE is the latest number of Covid-19 cases recorded across Cheshire West and Cheshire East.
A total of 387 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire in the 24 hours up to 4pm today, Tuesday, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
This is made up of 172 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 215 cases in Cheshire East.
This is compared to 140 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 271 cases in Cheshire East in the previous 24-hour period.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands at 39,755 in Cheshire West and 40,385 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now 1,371 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 398.8 per 100,000 people.
There have been 1,791 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 463.2 per 100,000.
Nationally there were 34,526 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
The Government said a further 167 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Tuesday, bringing the UK total to 136,375.
Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics show there have been 161,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
Government data up to September 27 shows that of the 93,565,474 Covid jabs given in the UK, 48,765,726 were first doses, a rise of 24,919 on the previous day.
Some 44,799,748 were second doses, an increase of 33,177.
