A TEENAGER has denied murdering Winsford man Keagan Crimes and will stand trial at Chester Crown Court in November.

The 17-year-old from Crewe, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has pleaded not guilty to a total of four charges, including seriously wounding two other people and possession of a knife.

He was appearing at Chester Crown Court on Friday, September 24, where he entered his not guilty pleas.

A trial, which has been estimated to last for around four weeks, is set to begin at the same court on Monday, November 29.

Keagan Crimes, 27, died in the early hours of Monday, October 12, last year after he sustained serious injuries during an incident at Cheviot Square the previous evening.

Two other men, aged 26 and 36, were also injured during the disturbance. They both attended hospital and were discharged shortly afterwards.

The teen has been remanded in a young offenders institute until the date of this trial.
