ALMOST 440 new Covid-19 cases were recorded across Cheshire West and Cheshire East in the latest 24-hour period.
A total of 438 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire in the 24 hours up to 4pm today, Tuesday, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
This is made up of 207 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 231 cases in Cheshire East.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands at 38,365 in Cheshire West and 38,593 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now 1,253 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 364.4 per 100,000 people.
There have been 1,454 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 376 per 100,000.
Nationally there were 31,564 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
