MORE than 400 new Covid-19 cases were recorded across Cheshire West and Cheshire East in the latest 24-hour period.
A total of 441 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire between 4pm on September 16 and 4pm today, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
This is made up of 170 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 271 cases in Cheshire East.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands at 38,158 in Cheshire West and 38,363 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now been 1,245 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 362.1 per 100,000 people.
There have been 1,397 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 361.3 per 100,000.
Nationally there were 36,100 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
On Thursday, September 16, case rates per 100,000 people for MSOAs in England and admission rates per 100,000 people for NHS regions in England were updated to use the mid-2020 population estimates.
